May’s newsletter delivered Chapter 2 of A Fog of Shadows exclusively to subscribers—the chapter explaining The Madness that destroyed peace between Sirens and Rens. Before Kateri can move forward, she has to understand the past, and newsletter readers got the full backstory of how everything changed. This month’s book club pick was Daughter of the Moon Goddess by Sue Lynn Tan—a gorgeous fantasy romance inspired by Chinese mythology with stunning world-building and a slow-burn romance. The countdown intensified: just 33 days until June 4 launch! We teased what’s coming in June: the pre-launch countdown newsletter (June 2), LAUNCH DAY (June 4), and beta reader applications opening for Book 2 (June 10).
April Exclusive 2026 Newsletter
April’s second newsletter revealed exclusive details about A Line of Shadows (Book 2)! Newsletter subscribers learned about Heather’s story—how after Kateri found her mate, the danger didn’t end but escalated. Heather’s empathic abilities might be the key to surviving what’s coming, and she has to convince her mate (Mikkel) she’s worth fighting for. We got a character spotlight on Mikkel, the most serious and guarded Ren brother who becomes Heather’s fated mate. Their dynamic? Grumpy/sunshine meets enemies-to-lovers meets fated mates who refuse to make it easy on each other. The newsletter teased Book 2’s 2027 release and promised exclusive updates, early chapters, and beta reading opportunities for subscribers. Book club pick: The Cruel Prince by Holly Black. Just 44 days to Book 1’s launch!

April’s newsletter opened ARC (Advance Review Copy) reader applications exclusively to subscribers! Newsletter readers got first access to apply for 20-50 spots to receive A Fog of Shadows early in exchange for honest reviews by June 10. We also delivered April’s exclusive content—Chapter 3 (“The Feast”), where Kateri steps out of hiding and discovers the arena has completely transformed. March Exclusive 2026 Newsletter
The March bonus newsletter delivered what subscribers had been waiting for—the FULL “little fox” scene between Magnus and Kateri! This exclusive unedited scene showed their complete first meeting at Phobia: the hunter/hunted banter, the brother introductions, Magnus’s voice deepening with that old accent, and the moment Kateri realizes she’s in serious trouble. Newsletter readers got the entire exchange that wasn’t available anywhere else—not on social media, not on the blog, nowhere. We reminded readers about March’s book club pick (Uprooted), teased April’s exclusive content (Chapter 3!), and announced next month’s book club selection will be The Cruel Prince by Holly Black. Just 71 days until A Fog of Shadows launches!
March 2026 Newsletter
March’s first newsletter brought an exclusive character spotlight on Heather—Kateri’s sister and Book 2’s heroine! We revealed her love interest: Mikkel, the most serious and guarded Ren brother, setting up an intense enemies-to-lovers journey in A Line of Shadows (Book 2). The book club pick was Uprooted by Naomi Novik—perfect for fans of grumpy wizards and fierce heroines discovering their power. Plus, pre-orders for A Fog of Shadows officially opened across all major retailers! Just 85 days to launch.

Newsletter subscribers got to know the oldest Ren brother: his deep emerald eyes, his protective nature, and that playful side he only shows when his guard drops. We featured The Princess Bride by William Goldman as our Valentine’s book club pick (because what better way to celebrate love than with true love, pirates, and sword fights?). The newsletter teased the iconic “little fox” moment between Magnus and Kateri, plus revealed what’s coming in March: a character spotlight on Heather and the full “little fox” bonus scene. Just 107 days until launch!
